CFSEA distributes investment earnings to a broad range of community initiatives.
We distribute funds to all areas including human services, health, education, justice, environment, arts, culture, recreation, and community development. Our grants are dispersed twice a year through:
- Designated Grants – As directed by the wishes of donors, according to their fund agreements
- Smart & Caring Community Grants – In response to grant applications from local charitable organizations (and approval of the Foundation Board of Directors)
- Vital/Community Impact Grants – Strategically directed to address emerging needs, issues and trends in the community (as determined by research and approved by the Foundation Board of Directors)
Our Vital People Program applauds the staff working in frontline program delivery or junior management positions for the local charities the keep Southeastern Alberta thriving. Two $500 awards are given annually to agency employees to assist with further training and skill development that best suits the needs of the individual recipient.
