Board Leadership Training
The Board Leadership Seminar is a full-day professional development event designed to strengthen governance capacity for board members, non-profit leaders, and community volunteers.
This year’s seminar will take place in Brooks, bringing learning and connection opportunities directly to organizations across Brooks & District, while welcoming participants from the wider Southeast Alberta region.
Early Bird Tickets: $50 until March 31, 2026
Regular Tickets: $75 until April 24, 2026

What to Expect
Participants will benefit from a practical, engaging day that includes:
- Keynote workshop with Yvonne Chenier, focusing on timely and relevant governance topics for non-profit boards
- Interactive breakout sessions, allowing participants to choose sessions most relevant to their role and experience
- Networking opportunities with board members, non-profit leaders, and volunteers from Brooks & surrounding communities

Board Leadership Southeastern Alberta is facilitated by the local Development Officer with Alberta Culture and Tourism, with support from a wide range of community partners. Its goal is to build the capacity of the volunteer sector!
