“We are proud to support the ones who need it most in the rural community where ENERCON North America had the privilege to work. Besides providing the households in the area with renewable energy, we are glad this donation will continue impacting the community long after we are gone.” – Omar Yallou, Project Manager with Jenner Wind Project.
ENERCON is an international leader in wind turbine design and manufacturing. The Jenner Wind Projects owned and developed by Potentia Renewables saw to the installation of 55 wind turbines totalling 303 MW in the area and completed the project in December 2023. In addition to providing the area with renewable energy, ENERCON Community Program wanted to give back to the community they were a part of, which is why they chose to recycle the project’s scrap metal and donate the funds back into the community. By choosing the Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta, their original donation is never spent – it will be invested. The investment income earned year after year will support nonprofits in the form of grants.
