The Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta is the first community in Alberta to follow in the footsteps of the Calgary Top 7 Over 70™ Awards for its second biennial event. The award celebrates the remarkable achievements of seven individuals who have made significant contributions to their respective fields after the age of 70.
Founded in 2017 by renowned Albertan, oil patch pioneer, and engaged philanthropist Jim Gray, the Top 7 Over 70™ initiative celebrates innovative or new achievements of older individuals. These community champions make meaningful contributions in fields such as science, literature, sports, agriculture, philanthropy, and the arts beyond age 70, showing that people who defy age norms continue to shape our world and inspire others.
